Lighthouse Beams

Wow, the sun is shinning and it looks like another beautiful day.  After all the rain that we have had this spring and summer it is so nice to see the sun again.

Yesterday was a down day for the family but we had a pretty good day just being together.  After Daddy got home from work we worked outside getting the truck loaded with the weeds from the gardens and trees that we didn’t want growing in our garden.  I’m reminded every time that we pull weeds that each weed is like the sin in our lives before God comes into it.  I’m so thankful that our garden hearts can be completely cleaned of all "weeds" and bloom the wonderful flowers that God meant for us to have bloom.

Today is another day getting things ready for the "new" year.  It is amazing how we can have things build during a school year and need to be weeded out to get ready for the new year.  It is sometimes hard to let some of the things go that the kids have made but I remind myself that there is always another thing that will take its place.

So today, I will be working on "weeding" out the unnecessary things in our house and school room.
