Lighthouse Beams

Our family has been homeschooling since 1997 when we adopted an 8 yr old boy.  He graduated from high school this past May.  We currently have two children that God blessed us with at home.  We have a girl age 8 going to be 9 in November that is in 3rd grade but reads two years older than her grade level.  Our son is one of those blessings that parents hope never happen to them because you are scared what to do with them, but God has seen us through many scruggles.  He is 5 and will turn 6 in December and will start kindergarten in a week or so.

We not only enjoy the opportunity of homeschooling our own children but we are also the directors of the only state wide Christian Homeschool Organization in Missouri called Missouri Association of Christian Homeschoolers (MATCH).  This gives us a wonderful opportunity to be able to get to know other Christians and minister to those that are looking forward to homeschooling or have been for sometime.

We are looking forward to new challenges this year.  Our daughter will be starting a new way of schooling for herself by doing the Switched on Schoolhouse program on the computer.  I will be spending extra time with our son due to his many handicapes.  I am looking forward to seeing what God has in store for our family this year.

I'm the wife of my best friend that God gave to me over 20+ years ago. We have been blessed with 3 children, James (by adoption); Abigail & Milton (special needs child) and our service dog, Suzy. I have been blessed to be able to homeschool since 1997 and be the co-director with my husband, Michael, of the state wide Christian homeschool organization, MATCH since 1999. God has blessed us abundantly.
