Lighthouse Beams

America the home of the brave and the free.  Will it be that in a few years? few months?  As we have watched things over in the foreign lands and even here in America take place we are reminded of the book of Revelations in the Bible.  I’m not a whiz about the end times but things are looking towards the end each day.

I have been reading about the different happenings through history that brought our nation together.  I am reminded of 9/11 and how the country was brought together once again for awhile.  Why is it that we have to have something terrible to bring our nation together?  As I have watched our soldiers go over sea and many of their lives have been taken from them at a very young age, I’m reminded that they are giving their lives for us and our freedom and for those in Iraq that can’t help themselves.  May God bless our soldier families as they say goodbye to their different loved ones.  The sacrifices that our soldiers make we may never really know fully but we can remember them in our prayers.

As this years presidential election draws near, the whole world is watching us.  I find it scary when I hear people say Obama the Messiah!  He isn’t the Messiah and never will be but what a following of people he has won over.  Are the Christians going to sit by and let this continue into the White House or are we going to let the world know that we only have 1 Messiah and HE is coming soon.  I have heard some say that they just aren’t going to vote this year, guess what if you don’t vote you voted anyway.  Please sign up now before it is to late to vote.  You can even do it from home by going to the American Family Association site.

God has allowed us freedom for generations, but what is our generation going to do now?  Are we going to turn our back on God and the freedoms He has given us?  Even with all our problems in America, I am PROUD to have been born an American and to live in this beautiful country!!
