Two Months and Still Going

It has been 2 months since we began our journey on SHAPE. So many changes but mostly for the good. Can you see the difference? Well, Michael is showing it, me it is slower but I keep being told it is slower for women.

Panfakes with blueberry syrup.

Some have been asking if we have seen any difference. Yes, Michael actually bought a new belt this weekend.

The reason we signed up was for me because of my blood pressure and diabetes. I have already seen both of these problems leveled out. And a bonus part is that I’m losing weight.

Zoospaghetti made with a noodle maker.

SHAPE is NOT a diet! Is is a program geared to help inflammation and weight loss and other benefits. What is my goal? Now that I have reached my first goal, I’m hoping to come off as many meds as possible.

How do we reward ourselves when we reach a goal? Not by going out to eat!  We have come up with with some special things that we want and will share it with everyone at that time.

Cinnamon Ice Chips

One thing I do miss is sweets. But this week I tried to make my own version of the special I’ve Chip Candy that is for sale. The whole family likes them, so I will be making more of them.

I have started working on a special cookbook for our community for the first phase. I hope this will help others that are looking for ways to cook while they are trying to do the program.

Looking forward to what this next week holds for us.

Taking it one step at a time.

I'm the wife of my best friend that God gave to me over 20+ years ago. We have been blessed with 3 children, James (by adoption); Abigail & Milton (special needs child) and our service dog, Suzy. I have been blessed to be able to homeschool since 1997 and be the co-director with my husband, Michael, of the state wide Christian homeschool organization, MATCH since 1999. God has blessed us abundantly.
